Extremely nice and absolutely romantic hotel. Good parking facilities and close to the middleaged town center.||Nice service, everything clean and beautiful. Breakfast also very nice. All staff incredibly polite and service-minded. All our best recommendations. We will be back for another relaxing visit.
True romantic hotel and its shabby chic interior fits the bill perfectly.
Great comfortable bathrooms with a rainforest shower with actual pressure, a real plus and rarerity in most hotels. However the controls are fumbly and inaedequate with soaped hands.
TV does not offer Netflix & Prime yet, but is fortunately fire stick compatible.
But unfortunately this hotel does not meet the international standard of 4-star hotels:
It does not have minibars!!, coffeemakers, bathtubs or even queen and kingsize beds.
They actually still have the totally antiquated matrimony beds so common in europe, that are two seperate cods joined by a crack.
Some few rooms have toppers to avoid the crack. You actually have to request a room without a crack upon reservation.
A romantic couple wants to cuddle and not be stuck with a crack of yesteryear and fall into it.
The Covid breakfast is limited, but does not even include freshly-squeezed orange juice (hello?), a true must for a 4-star breakfast, sliced grapefruits
or that great truly yummy full-fruit German Ehrmann yoghurt is missing as well.
An Acerola fruit juice is a great find, though. Congrats!
Also that breakfast attendant/warden is truly subpar and not as friendly as the other staff members:
She rudely forces you to wear a mask at all times. How pathetic. You don’t need a schoolteacher at breakfast, give me a break.
The prices of over 120€ during COVID with limited access to gym, spa and other amenities are unacceptable. All hotels adjust their pricing for Covid accordingly.
Overall this could be a nice hotel, that does need to implement some changes and have real king beds with boxsprings, however.
It could easily make a 5-star rating, which it would deserve otherwise.
Excelent stay in your beautiful hotel. The restaurent is for connesseures
Pros:
-Location. Short walk from Downtown.
-Ample Parking.
-Breakfast was OK, warm food selection was lacking. Most mornings it was scrambled eggs and one selection of meat. You could ask pancakes be made to order.
-Rooms were clean and well maintained.
-Beautiful courtyard.
Cons:
-No Air Conditioning. We requested a portable one for our stay, but it simply did not cool the room. It was not a full portable AC and simply one of those humidifier/blower combos with no exhaust hose. This forced us to open the windows, but the heat and road noise prevented a good night's sleep during our stay.
-Price. At over $700 for a 3 night stay, its overpriced for what you get.
Most people come to Quedlinburg for the amazing half timber architecture, so I was surprised that the town is surrounded by impressive Victorian mansions. The hotel is housed in a mix of buildings - we had a beautifully appointed suite …
Luxurious hotel in the historic city centre, but still with free parking space. Very good service and delicious breakfast. The gourmet restaurant is worth a try.
When ordering a room, make sure you don't get room 66 or any of the other rooms facing the noisy Kaiser-Otto Strasse. The windows keep out the noise, but in the summer heat, you have to open them.
Welcome and Employees: Check-in was okay, but not especially friendly. Proof of corona test was required. ||||Room and Facilities: Location was good – only a 10 minute walk to the market square and all other sights. Room was clean and …
Set right on the edge of the old town, the hotel has the advantage of offering easy access and parking (there is also an overflow car park if the main one is full). Service was very friendly. Breakfast very good. The room was a bit warm - …
